Established 60 years ago, the Soil Association drafted the worldâ??s first organic standards 30 years ago and is responsible for promoting and maintaining the principles of sustainable agriculture in over 30 countries. The charity currently has 26,000 members and active supporters; Jigsaw is working with the Soil Association to raise awareness and increase these numbers. Jigsaw is supporting the charity as the brand shares the Soil Associationâ??s belief that organic production is better for the planet and recognise the importance of the environmental, social and health benefits of organic living, for people as individuals, as communities and globally.Soil Association memberships also include a free subscription to Living Earth, the Soil Associationâ??s award-winning quarterly magazine, a members-only e-newsletter to keep members in touch with Soil Association campaigns and programme work, invitations to special events.
