This week is National Knitting Week (12 October to 19 October 2008), so get your needles out and help raise money for Shelter by knitting a mini scarf for the Origins Ginger Knits campaign.This December Origins will be donating £1 from the sale of every Origins Ginger Essence Sensuous skin scent, Origins Ginger Essence Intensified Fragrance Spray and Origins Ginger Days gift set to the housing and homelessness charity Shelter. Look out for these special bottles in store keeping warm under a homemade festive woolly scarf. All fragrance bottles will come with a cute, cosy, hand-knitted scarf in festive Christmas colours and will be available in all Origins stores and at www.origins.co.uk from 1st â?? 24th December 2008.How you can get involved?Choose your favourite Christmas themed yarn (red, green or gold) â?? the brighter the better and get your knitting needles ready You can use any type or thickness of yarn. For double knitting (DK) yarn and 4mm needles Cast on four stitches and then knit forty rows â?? or around 25cm - before casting off Make your scarf stand out by adding your own personal touch â?? with glitter, tassels, patterns etc Once your scarf is ready, pop it in the post to: Origins Ginger Knits, 73 Grosvenor Street, London, W1K 3BQ (make sure you post your scarves as soon as they are ready, and no later than 20 November 2008).
